LunkeyBolt ("we", "us", or "our") built the FontX app as a free application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

FontX does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

The app runs entirely on your device. All text conversion, voice input, and image processing happen locally on your phone.

Permissions

FontX requests the following device permissions:

• Microphone — Used for voice-to-text input via on-device speech recognition. Audio is processed locally and is never recorded, stored, or sent to any server.
• Camera / Photo Library — Used to pick images for on-device text extraction (OCR). Images are processed locally using Google ML Kit and are never uploaded or shared.
• Internet / Network — Used solely for the optional "Cast" feature, which creates a local Wi-Fi server on your phone so you can view converted text on another device within the same network. No data is sent to external servers.

Third-Party Services

FontX uses the following on-device libraries:

• Google ML Kit (Text Recognition) — Runs entirely on-device for OCR. See Google ML Kit Terms.
• Speech-to-Text — Uses the device's built-in speech recognition engine. No audio is sent to our servers.

Data Storage

All conversion history is stored locally on your device using shared preferences. We have no access to this data. Clearing the app data or uninstalling the app removes all stored information.

Cast Feature

The Cast feature starts a local HTTP server on your device, accessible only within your Wi-Fi network. No data passes through any external server. The server stops immediately when you turn off Cast or close the app.

Children's Privacy

FontX does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The app does not require any account creation or personal data entry.
